Career Technical Education prepares students to enter today's competitive workforce. CTE involves a multiyear sequence of courses that integrates core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge, to provide students with a pathway to post-secondary education and careers. Marketing, Sales & Services Folsom Lake High School's CTE program explores the Marketing pathway in the Marketing, Sales & Services sector through the classess below.

Principles of Marketing gives students a general overview of marketing principles. Students in this course will develop an understanding of the marketing mix for goods and services in domestic and global markets. The course includes the study of economics, government regulation, competition, and consumer behavior. Students learn about entrepreneurs, how to organize a business, business plans, and will write a marketing plan. The curriculum will be infused with technology and the development of communication, leadership, and employability skills.

Advanced Marketing is a second year marketing course focused on communication, technology, business plans and entrepreneurship as it relates to government regulations, globalization, competition, consumer behavior, and market research.

The Career Technical Student Organization for Marketing is DECA.  The Folsom Lake High School has a chartered chapter to prepare future leaders and entrepreneurs.
